ExecTweets IT is all about fact access to insight from tech experts. Much of it’s in the form of tweets from the IT pros we’ve selected to be part of the conversation here. But our new IT Q&A feature fulfills our mission, too–by letting you easily ask tech questions which we’ll instantly relay to folks who are ready to provide answers.
To try it out, just head for our IT Q&A tab anywhere on ExecTweets IT, type a query, and press Ask Your Question. Then come back in a bit to check out the answers. (We publish everything here so that the whole ExecTweets IT community can benefit.)
Where do the answers come from? After you pose your question, we use the cool Aardvark service to relay it to members of our ITPros group there. Aardvark sends the question to them by instant message, e-mail, and other means, then collects their answers. Members of ITPros include the writers who contribute to our IT Expert Blog (like me!) and tech professionals who enjoy sharing what they know.
What can you ask about? Well, anything relating to IT is fair game. (Check out the Recent Questions & Answers for examples of what other folks have been discussing.) Think of the service as providing convenient access to a bunch of savvy friends with varying backgrounds.
You don’t need to join Aardvark to ask questions using IT Q&A–but if you do join, you can use Aardvark from your IM client, e-mail program, and Twitter to ask questions on any topic known to mankind–and can be part of our ITPros brain trust, too. Just sign up here, and you’ll be on your way.
We hope you’ll both take advantage of IT Q&A on ExecTweets and become an Aardvark member. The more questions that get answered, the merrier…
